A Brief History of Mr. David J
Mr David J was born in the mid 80s to two parents, one of the male variety and one of the female, as was the norm back then, unless your life consisted solely of reading magazines in which women gave birth to the children of aliens or ghosts. In accordance with convention he promptly began to grow old, doing many things along the way including destroy a number of Thomas the Tank Engine books through over reading, count backwards from 100 before starting school and create a unique dance to Aha's Take On Me that has never been imitated.
At the start of the new decade, which was known to us back then as the "90s" Mr David J started school. There he would learn how butter was made, and grow cress, and would also go on many field trips. After four years at First School Mr. David J moved across the road/teachers car park to the Middle School, where he would learn even more stuff and become engrossed at the stories of Beaver Towers.
Once Mr. David J completed his primary education he progressed to secondary education, such is required in these modern times. There he plagurised many ideas he'd seen on televison and in other books for his english work and also discovered that not only did Geography have little to do with where places are, but also that he was terrible at it. After five years Mr David J left the school system with a number of GCSEs including a D in Art.
At 16 and out of the compulsory education system Mr David J decided to proceed to College where he studied Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English and Media Studies, dropping Chemistry at the end of the first year. After this he went on to do a Media Technology BSc degree at university.
Away from school Mr. David J developed a love for music buying a number of records over the years, some more played than others. He likes chocolate and ale, though not at the same time, unless its a special chocolate ale, such as Youngs Double Chocolate Stout, which is really nice. You should go and find some, and then email ale at davidjbascombe.co.uk to tell Mr David J where you found it.
That is all, For now.
